Guadalajara, day 2

Every Sunday Guadalajara closes certain streets across the city for a ciclovía, when cyclists & pedestrians take over.

The architecture in Guadalajara is more mixed ... old colonial buildings and more recent stuff side by side. This concrete highrise reminds me of buildings we've seen in eastern Europe.

Palacio de Gobierno, built in the 18th century, now housing government offices

I had a tortas ahogada (sandwich stuffed with pork soaked in tomato sauce), a tradition in Guadalajara.

Lots of art in the streets & plazas
