Travel day to Tirana, Albania

This morning we left Shkodër and drove towards Tirana. Along the way we stopped on the the town of Krujë to visit their castle and a large museum dedicated to Skanderbeg, an Albanian who fought the Ottomans in the 1400s and is considered the father of Albanians.

We survived the drive into Tirana. The drivers are crazy and if you are polite, you will get nowhere!

The Pyramid of Tirana was built as a museum about Enver Hoxha. It was abandoned after the fall of communism and now kids play on it.
