This morning we left Albania and drove into North Macedonia. Our first stop was the Monastery of Saint Naum
We had cappuccinos on the terrace of a restaurant at the monastery
From there we drove to the picturesque town of Vevchani
The priest of the Orthodox church gave us a tour. His great great great grandfather was the priest when the church was built (while the area was still under Ottoman rule). He told us that his son is a priest at an Orthodox church in Dearborn, Michigan.
After this we drove to Ohrid, North Macedonia, where we will stay for the next two nights. This is our studio apartment right on the waterfront.
Castle in Ohrid
Lots of old churches
Supper at a restaurant on the waterfront
Sunset
