We asked our guesthouse hosts about transportation back to Shkodër. They arranged for us to catch a ride with some locals. It was a hair-raising two hour ride. The young guy driving was on his phone making calls, texting, and choosing music while speeding down single lane roads with two traffic ... yet he dutifully crossed himself when we passed a wayside memorial for someone who had presumably died there in a vehicle accident!
We stayed at the same apartment in Shkodër as before. Our host brought us some delicious baklava his mother had made.

Bicycles are a big thing in Shkodër. Most are old, and people of all ages use them.
