We both had a surprisingly good night's sleep. We left our hotel near the Munich airport before 8 am and took the bus back to the terminal. Our flight left at 11 am and we arrived in Sarajevo an hour and twenty minutes later.
The Sarajevo airport is about 10 km from our apartment so we decided to walk to town. Along the way we withdrew some Bosnian currency from an ATM and picked up a local SIM card for my phone.
After checking in to our apartment, we went to a restaurant for supper and then wandered around town until it got dark.
I always like days like this where we cover a lot of ground!

An example of a "Sarajevo Rose" memorial found around town, made by adding red resin to spots where motor shells exploded, killing three or more people
